Our words and thoughts have power.

That power is not just beholden to our personal lives, it also impacts our professional spaces. It influences how we choose to be present, and the quality of interaction we participate in with our peers.

Our thoughts and words to self guide our actions (on in-action), whether they achieve a positive or negative outcome, the power and influence is still the same.

To determine your own word/theme of the year,

Allow time to sit with your thoughts and ascertain what is the word or theme reoccurring for you. Write it out words that pop into your head, meditate on it. Where are you being drawn to align your focus?

Utilising these methods is how you discover your word of the year.

It becomes your theme, your focus, your centre-point to come back to when you begin to feel overwhelmed. Workshop how this theme applies not only to your professional life, but carries over into your personal.

Your drive and core of who you are does not have a switch to flip when transitioning between the professional and personal spaces. It carries over between them - your morals, your values, your mission statement. They are all the same.

The behaviour in your professional environment will be a reflection of the values you hold in your personal environment.
